In this exploratory session you will be dabbling with the technique of pointillism/stippling. We’ll practice the pointillism technique by creating a few examples including a value scale that will get you comfortable with creating lights to darks within the pointillism technique, while using a fine tip black marker. If you would like you can bring a black and white photo image and a simple contour line drawing with which to create an artwork, please do. (Black and white photos can you to help to see values and lights to darks.) If you choose to create an artwork, please print-out this photo ahead of time, which you will be using as a reference while creating your image.
*Note we will only be able to start your artwork which you can finish at your own convenience with the learned techniques. Or you can also continue to work on any of your artwork at any of the Open Art nights. Please contact Vandy Leigh at Creative Community Space and inquire about Open Arts nights, where artists will be there to help you with any technique.
