DESCRIPTION:Did you make ceramics at a Creative Community Space class or event?  Come on this evening to paint on your glaze so we can fire it again and make it a functional ceramic piece for you.  You pay a $15.00 studio fee. Glaze is then $5.50/ pound of clay used. This includes your second firing to make your creation a functional ceramic piece. \nThis is an all-ages event. SUMMARY:HomeSchool Plaster Sculpture!
DESCRIPTION:Come and experience 3-dimensional art.  Sculptures can be made of so many things.  We will explore armature-making and plaster gauze wrapping to create animals in the Oaxacan wood-carving style.   We’ll learn about structure\, balance\, and unity while we construct animals from our individual visions. \nThis is a 6-week class. \nThis class meets on Thursdays: Oct. 29\, Nov. 05\, 12\, 19\, Dec. 3\, 10\,  from 11:00 – 12:15 (15 minutes allowed for clean up). If this day or time doesn’t work for you\, please email us to discuss creating another sculpture class or another class specific to your family’s interests. \nGrades 1-8 or age equivalent. \nMinimum – 5 students to run this class. DESCRIPTION:The holidays are quickly approaching\, and if you would like to make ceramic gifts\, you need to do it during the month of November to ensure that they are ready for the gift-giving season. We will be offering clay night during 3 Open Art in November.  Don’t wait till the last minute.  Ceramic ornaments are just one option; they make great gifts and are easy to make.  Make this a hand-made holiday! \nDrop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (Sorry\, no wheels)  Your studio fee is $15.00; 1 pound of clay is $5.50 – additional clay can be purchased for $5.50/ pound.  The clay fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later\, come to a Glaze Night. Your studio fee is $15.00 on this day. Your glaze fee will be $5.50 for each pound of clay used.
