DESCRIPTION:Drop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. These sessions are available twice a month for a $12.50 studio  fee each night.  Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your fee is your studio fee\, clay can be purchased for $3.50/ pound.  The clay fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later come to a Glaze Night. SUMMARY:Deluxe Sock Puppets!!!
DESCRIPTION:Deluxe Sock Puppets: \n                                 \nDeluxe Sock Puppets: (Age 8 and up) \nThis is an advanced sock puppet class.  This class begins with an introduction to puppetry and creating a puppet character\, as well as all of the elements needed to do so.  Then students will learn to build a mouth plate and by using this plate as well as some foam for a “skull”\, they will give their sock puppets a wonderful shape and much greater range of motion and movement than an average sock puppet.  Students will then proceed to create their characters and build their puppets. \nThis is a wildly popular class and space is limited so register early! \nStudents from Epping Elementary School will be picked up after school and walked down to the Art Center. \nStudents driving from other areas need to arrive by 3:30 for this special workshop. \nWe need at least 6 students to run this class – please tell your children’s friends! \nRegistration deadline  EXTENDED April 1st! DESCRIPTION:Come create your way!  Middle School Art Club is a social art group that is full of choice!  Students are shown tools and techniques and given some examples of the ways they are used and can then explore their own creativity.  The group is also shown examples of how art is powerful!  This feeds their creative self-esteem as they create for self-expression. \nPlease reach out if you have questions about this group!  CreativeCommunitySpace@gmail.com \nStudents walk down from the Epping Middle School on their own- to arrive at the Art Center around 2:30.  (Vandy will walk them down the first time – and again if requested) \nStudents from districts other than Epping should be dropped off by 2:40. \nThis is a new group.
