SUMMARY:Home School Explore Clay and Paint
DESCRIPTION:This group is open to Home Schooled youth in the middle grades equivalent. \nWe will begin with clay learning hand-building construction techniques to produce sculptural and functional pieces.  While these items dry and are fired in the kiln we will start our painting exploration.We will learn watercolor painting techniques as well as explore acrylic painting. \nWe will end the series with glaze painting our ceramics. \nVandy Leigh will be teaching this series. See the teacher’s profile under  “Membership” then “Meet the Teaching Members” to learn more about her. \nThis class will meet Fridays 9/15\, 9/22\, 9/29\, 10/6\, 10/13\, 10/20\, 10/27\, 11/3   from 10:30 – 11:30 AM. \nRegistration Deadline: Deadline is Monday\, September 1st. \nCancelation Policy:  Cancelation through September 1st for full refund.  No refunds after September 1st.  \n*** Please note that any refunds\,  (unless Creative Community Space was responsible for the cancelation or need for a refund) will be made by check. If you would prefer a refund throuogh our website: all payments made through the website/PayPal that need to be refunded will incur a charge of 3.49% . \nShould you prefer to write a check for your registration please contact us by email: CreativeCommunitySpace@gmail.com \nChecks and paper registrations need to arrive at Creative Community Space by the registration deadline of September 1st. \n*materials fee includes clay\, 2 firings\, glaze and paint supplies.

We will be offering clay night during each Open Art of November.  Don’t wait till the last minute.  Ceramic ornaments are just one option they make great gifts and are easy to make.  Make this a hand-made holiday! \nDrop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your fee includes 1 pound of clay – additional clay can be purchased for $3.00/ pound.  The fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later come to a Glaze Night. Your fee on this day will include glaze and glaze firing in the kiln to create your functional ceramic piece.  Seating is limited so don’t wait till the last minute.  First come/first serve for spaces.  Cash is preferred but cards are accepted.   You can come and glaze your clay items on 11/21 and 11/28 during Santa’s Workshop Clay. \nThis is an All Ages Event \nAs winter illnesses develop Masks are optional\, this is a no-judgment zone! \n*Our Open Art studio fee increased to $12.00 as of October 1st.
