SUMMARY:HomeSchool - Clay! Introduction to Slab and Coil!
DESCRIPTION:Come learn about clay! Where it comes from\, how it is used\, and how it can be made into thousands of items.  We will learn about coil and slab construction to make pots\, trays\, and treasure boxes. Over these 6 weeks\, we will focus on learning skills and tool use to create lasting clay pieces. These items will be fired in a kiln\, and then students will paint or glaze them. Glazed itemswill be fired in the kiln again to make a functional ceramic piece.  Projects will vary from specific skill-building to free-choice with skill demonstration. \n*no previous clay class needed. \nThis class is for students in 1st grade through 8th grade or age equivalent. \nClay is a medium that is easy to differentiate for different age/grade levels. \nThis class will run 6 weeks.  Tuesdays from 11 – 12:15\,  May 5\, 12\, 19\, 26\,  June 2 & 9. \nWe need a minimum of 5 students to run this class – Maximum of 10. \nWe are an EFA Vendor email us for registration instructions: CreativeCommunitySpace@gmail.com \nNo refunds after April 27th \nCost of class = $120.00 \nMaterials = $25.00 \nTotal =  $145.00 \n\n		\n		\n			\n				\n			\n				\n				glaze \n				\n			\n				\n			\n				\n				Create with clay\n				\n			\n				\n			\n				\n				slab and coil\n				\n			\n				\n			\n				\n				coil
