Hand-building (no wheel) is a great way to get started.  With the Magic 3 you can build just about anything!  Come learn how to make a basic\, pinched form\, coiled form\, and slab form. \nWorkshop: This is a 3-hour workshop for Adults and High School age students.  No experience is necessary\, just good humor and the willingness to get your hands dirty!  See the registration form\, materials fee\, and cost in “Details” below. SUMMARY:Whistle Workshop
DESCRIPTION:        \nIn this 2 hour workshop\, you will create a basic whistle (extra time will be given if needed)\nYou will be learning the following skills; pinching\, coiling\, scoring and construction of a hollow sphere and flue extension. You will use these techniques to create a whistle/form that can be any creature you desire. Bringing a picture for inspiration is encouraged but keep your idea basic. Tools\, 2 pounds of clay and other materials will be supplied.  Age – High School and up. The cost will be  $48.00 which includes your clay and 1st firing.\n\nYour item can be glazed at a Tuesday\, Open Art Night (See the website calendar) for glazing your 2 pound project will be $14.00.\n\n\n\nClass offered by Wendy Harris. SUMMARY:Open Art Clay!!!
DESCRIPTION:Drop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. These sessions are available once a month.  Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your fee includes 1 pound of clay – additional clay can be purchased for $7.00/ pound.  The fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later come to a Glaze Day. Your fee on this day will include glaze and glaze firing in the kiln to create your functional ceramic piece.  Seating is limited due to the pandemic and social distancing needs.
