SUMMARY:Kid's Clay Day grades 4 - 6!!!
DESCRIPTION:Come play with clay!  We will make clay animals. Learn how to use clay tools and the techniques to make small clay sculptures.  When you finish your 2 animals\, you will leave them at the art center so they can dry and then be cooked in the kiln and made into ceramic.  Later\, you can pick up your sculptures and either 1. paint them with acrylics at home – instructions will be included\, or 2. come to Open Art Glaze night with a parent  (studio fees apply) and glaze your ceramic sculptures. See the website calendar\, Tuesdays\, to find a Glaze night that fits your schedule. \nThis is a 1 afternoon\, 2 1/2 hour workshop. \nGrades 4 – 6 or age equivalent – parents can decide if their child going into 4th or going into 7th attends this workshop. \nInstruction = $40.00 \nMaterials = $5.00 \nTotal = $45.00 \nRegistration Deadline Extended: June 14th. SUMMARY:Kids Clay Day! Grades 1-3
DESCRIPTION:Come play with clay!  We will make clay animals. Learn how to use clay tools and the techniques to make small clay sculptures.  When you finish your 2 animals\, you will leave them at the art center so they can dry and then be cooked in the kiln and made into ceramic.  Later\, you can pick up your sculptures and either 1. paint them with acrylics at home – instructions will be included\, or 2. come to Open Art Glaze night with a parent  (studio fees apply) and glaze your ceramic sculptures. See the website calendar\, Tuesdays\, to find a Glaze night that fits your schedule. \nThis is a 1 morning\, 2 1/2 hour workshop. \nGrades 1 – 3 or age equivalent – parents can decide if their child going into 1st or going into 4th attends this workshop. \nInstruction = $40.00 \nMaterials = $5.00 \nTotal = $45.00 \nRegistration Deadline Extended: June 14th. DESCRIPTION:Did you make ceramics at a Creative Community Space class or event?  Come on this evening to paint on your glaze so we can fire it again and make it a functional ceramic piece for you.  You pay a $12.50 studio fee. Glaze is then $3.50/ pound of clay used. This includes your second firing to make your creation a functional ceramic piece. \nThis is an All Ages event. Drop in no registration needed. \n*Open Art is Free to Members of Creative Community Space\, they only pay the $3.50 materials fee on clay and glaze nights- see our website for membership details. \nFirst come/first serve for spaces.  Cash is preferred but cards are accepted. \n*Studio fees increased from $12.00 to $12.50 and glaze and clay costs increased from $3.00 to $3.50 on October 1\, 2024. \nMasks are optional\, this is a no-judgment zone!!!
