SUMMARY:This Is Puppetry! Camp!
DESCRIPTION:This Is Puppetry \nEver wonder how those puppets you see on television and in movies are made? In this class\, I teach you the secrets to building your own foam-patterned hand and rod puppet and all the materials\, elements\, and skills that make them look so real and lifelike.  We will also learn the fundamentals of creating a character through the use of color\, texture\, different materials\, and movement\, as well as how to manipulate your puppet to bring your character to life.  These puppets are sewn and covered in fleece using the “Henson” or “Ladder” stitch.  No previous puppetry skills are needed\, (basic hand-sewing skills are helpful – see video links below)  just your imagination and creativity are required. \nLadder Stitch Tutorial\nhttps://youtu.be/c2B_fgEGMlM?si=L-kTe1mzE78fN66G\n\nAdam Kreutinger-Puppet Stitches\n\nhttps://youtu.be/TvmYl2GGbKI?si=acM6RIpFT2KVGXqb\n\n\n\nThis is a 5 day camp from 9-3:30. DESCRIPTION:Did you make ceramics at a Creative Community Space class or event?  Come on this evening to paint on your glaze so we can fire it again and make it a functional ceramic piece for you.  You pay a $12.00 studio fee. Glaze is then $3.00/ pound of clay used. This includes your second firing to make your creation a functional ceramic piece. \nThis is an All Ages event. Drop in no registration needed. \n*Open Art is Free to Members of Creative Community Space\, they only pay the $3.00 materials fee on clay and glaze nights- see our website for membership details. \nFirst come/first serve for spaces.  Cash is preferred but cards are accepted. \nMasks are optional\, this is a no-judgment zone!!!
