SUMMARY:“What’s Under the Hood?” (Simple Mechanism Puppets)
DESCRIPTION:“What’s Under the Hood?” (Simple Mechanism Puppets): (3 Hr.)\nWhat is a puppet mechanism? A puppet mechanism is more than just a device that you put\ninside your puppet to create movement; it is a way to move a puppet that you can’t easily\nmove or a way to add extra movement to your puppet. Mechanisms bring a whole new life\nto your puppet by typically using a spring\, cable\, pulling a string\, or using a wooden rod. \nStudents in this class will build a simple mechanism and then construct a foam puppet\naround the device that they create. We will also use a very unique method to give the foam\npuppet color. Then students will turn that creation into a puppet by building its character\nand thus breathing life into it. \nProgram $43.00 + $19 Materials = $62.00 \n3 hours  3:30 – 6:30     – Epping Elementary School Students will be picked up by Creative Community Staff and walked over to the Arts Center. Parents will pick their children up at the Arts Center at 6:30. \n*This event is not EFA eligible \n  \nHighSchool and Adult Class on Saturday 10/17 \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n  \n
