We will also print with found objects and objects in nature. \nNext\, we will experiment with both watercolor and acrylic painting.  These are both water-based but can behave very differently! \nFinally\, we will finish up with collage!  Collage isn’t just cutting up magazines; it is about seeing the possibilities through the combination of existing images as well as making your own. College is a visual way to tell a story. \nWe will focus on learning goals and FUN! \nLearning Goals: Understanding tools\, materials\, and techniques\, and how to use them\, for creating Prints\, Watercolor\, and Acrylic Paintings\, and Collaged pieces\, with related vocabulary. \nArt Principles: Balance\, Proportion\, Emphasis\, Unity/Variety\, Harmony\nArt Elements: Shape\, Texture\, Color.\nThis is a 6-week Class Session for 1 hour each day from 2:00 – 3:00 on Thursdays. \nThe instruction cost is: $114.00 + $16.00 for materials. DESCRIPTION:Deluxe Sock Puppets!\nThis is not your average run-of-the-mill Sock Puppet class. This class teaches the basics of\ncreating a puppet character and all the elements needed to do so.  Students will learn to\nbuild a mouth plate and to use this plate as a foam “skull” for a round head shape\,\nthey will give their puppets a much greater range of motion and movement than an average\nsock puppet. DESCRIPTION:Drop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. These sessions are available twice a month for a $14.00 studio  fee each night.  Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your fee is your studio fee\, clay can be purchased for $5.00/ pound.  The clay fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later come to a Glaze Night. You pay a studio fee of $14.00. Your glaze fee is $5.00/pound of clay used. On this day your glaze fee will include glaze and glaze firing in the kiln to create your functional ceramic piece. SUMMARY:Home School grades 1-3 Art Sampler with Clay!
DESCRIPTION:Printmaking\n				\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\nThis Art Sampler class for grades 1-3 or age equivalent will begin with clay! We will learn the basic clay forms and then make a project of our choice using the learned clay construction techniques.  1 week \nPrintmaking! We will make our own printing blocks with a variety of materials. We will also print with found objects and objects in nature. 2 weeks \nClay continued…on this day we will paint our clay sculpture with acrylic paints. \nFinally\, we will finish up with collage!  Collage isn’t just cutting up magazines; it is about seeing the possibilities through the combination of existing images as well as making your own. College is a visual way to tell a story. \nWe will focus on learning goals and FUN! \nLearning Goals: Understanding tools\, materials\, and techniques\, and how to use them\, for creating Clay Sculpture\, Prints\, Acrylic Sculpture Painting\, and Collaged pieces\, with related vocabulary. \nArt Principles: Balance\, Proportion\, Emphasis\, Unity/Variety\, Harmony\nArt Elements: Shape\, Texture\, Color.\nThis is a 6-week Class Session for 1 hour each day from 11 – 12:00 on Tuesdays. \nThe instruction cost is: $114.00 + $20.00 for materials. The total is $134.00 \nRegistration Deadline: September 19th.  We need 5 students to run the class. DESCRIPTION:The holidays are quickly approaching and if you would like to make ceramic gifts you need to do it during the month of November to assure that they are ready for the gift-giving season. We will be offering clay night during each Open Art of November.  Don’t wait till the last minute.  Ceramic ornaments are just one option they make great gifts and are easy to make.  Make this a hand-made holiday! \nDrop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your  studio fee is $14.00\, 1 pound of clay is $5.00 – additional clay can be purchased for $5.00/ pound.  The clay fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later come to a Glaze Night. Your studio fee is $14.00 on this day. Your glaze fee will be $5.00 for each pound of clay used. This club is from 315 – 4:15. \nIf you would like to join the Wednesday group waiting list\, please email: CreativeCommunitySpace@gmail.com \nCome have fun exploring new art materials and techniques! Meet other young artists and find your favorite mediums.  We will paint\, sculpt\, draw\, make 3 dimensional art\, prints\, and mixed media pieces. DESCRIPTION:If you have an item that needs to be glazed before the holidays – DON’T WAIT! Weather and illness can close the Art Center – get your item glazed as soon as possible! \nDid you make ceramics at a Creative Community Space class or event?  Come on this evening to paint on your glaze so we can fire it again and make it a functional ceramic piece for you.  You pay a $14.00 studio fee. Glaze is then $5.00/ pound of clay used. This includes your second firing to make your creation a functional ceramic piece. \nThis is an All Ages event. Drop in\, no registration needed. \n*Open Art is Free to Members of Creative Community Space\, they only pay the $3.50 materials fee on clay and glaze nights- see our website for membership details. \nFirst come/first serve for spaces.  Cash is preferred but cards are accepted. \nMasks are optional\, this is a no-judgment zone!!!

DESCRIPTION:New!!! We have added 3rd grade to this group for children who need a Wednesday group. This group meets from 3:15 – 4:15. \nCome have fun\, try new things and make fun projects!   We will experiment with new skills and materials\, hear some stories and use our imaginations! \nArt Club for grades 1\, 2 & 3 or age equivalent. (Kindergarten students can join on Thursdays in January – see bottom of the page) We will meet Wednesdays from 3:15 – 4:15.  Epping Elemenary students will be picked up and walked down from school by CCS Staff.
