SUMMARY:HomeSchool Plaster Sculpture!
DESCRIPTION:Come and experience 3-dimensional art.  Sculptures can be made of so many things.  We will explore armature-making and plaster gauze wrapping to create animals in the Oaxacan wood-carving style.   We’ll learn about structure\, balance\, and unity while we construct animals from our individual visions. \nThis is a 6-week class. \nThis class meets on Thursdays: Oct. 29\, Nov. 05\, 12\, 19\, Dec. 3\, 10\,  from 11:00 – 12:15 (15 minutes allowed for clean up). DESCRIPTION:This Intro to Drawing class will bring students from “seeing” things to learning to “look.” Drawing does not depend on “talent” but on skill.  Students will learn the skills to construct what they see\, then use the techniques of shading and texture to create a finished drawing.  With practice\, students will be able to draw on their own and build their skills until they can capture the essence of their subject. We will be drawing animals from sketch to finished drawing. \nThis class meets on Tuesdays: Nov. 03\, 10\, 17\, 24  Dec. 1\, & 8 from 11:00 – 12:00. If this day or time doesn’t work for you\, please email us to discuss creating another drawing class or another class specific to your family’s interests. \nThis class is for grades 1 – 6 or age equivalent. Market Basket is only a 5-minute drive. DESCRIPTION:The holidays are quickly approaching\, and if you would like to make ceramic gifts\, you need to do it during the month of November to ensure that they are ready for the gift-giving season. We will be offering clay night during 3 Open Art in November.  Don’t wait till the last minute.  Ceramic ornaments are just one option; they make great gifts and are easy to make.  Make this a hand-made holiday! \nDrop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (Sorry\, no wheels)  Your studio fee is $15.00; 1 pound of clay is $5.50 – additional clay can be purchased for $5.50/ pound.  The clay fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later\, come to a Glaze Night. Your studio fee is $15.00 on this day. Your glaze fee will be $5.50 for each pound of clay used. DESCRIPTION:Come meet other art enthusiasts!   We will experiment with new skills and materials\, hear some stories\, and make projects that express who we are! \nRegistration is for 4 classes = a Session  Session = $88.00 \nRegister for the semester and receive a discount \nThe Semester is $336/ 5 sessions + 1 day = $441.00 \nArt Club for grades K\, 1 & 2 or age equivalent. We will meet Thursdays from 3:15 – 4:15. \nRegistration is for 4 classes – be sure to check the calendar to know when we are meeting.  \nYou must renew your registration monthly by emailing Vandy at CreativeCommunitySpace@gmail.com or speaking to her directly  on or before the 3rd day of the current session. \nEpping students will be picked up at school and walked down to the Arts Center by the Creative Community Space group leader.  Students should bring a snack to eat before we begin Art Club activities. \nHomeschooled students or students coming from other school districts should arrive at Creative Community Space by 3:40 (and eat a snack before they come) \nYou will find the registration form at the link below.  Upon receiving your registration & payment for an Epping Elementary Student\, we will email you a  “Welcome Letter” and “Walkers’ Release”  before your first session that will allow us to pick your child up at school.  If your child does not attend Epping Elementary\, please email me and let me know so I can send you the proper directions. \n*Please note:  We follow the SAU 14 school calendar. \nRegistration Deadline: ADVANCED REGISTRATION FOR JANUARY IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED.   Please invite your child/youth’s friend to join Art Club. \nCancellation Policy:  Advanced registration can be refunded in full by December 21\, 2025 for the 1st Art Club session of the 2027 year.  Credit is given for a future activity or art club if cancellation is after December 21\, 2025. No refunds after the 4-week session has begun.   \nRegistration deadlines for each session follow the above protocol.  The deadline is 2 weeks before a session begins.  Always feel free to email us and ask if there is space if the deadline has passed. \nMeeting space:  We will be meeting in the indoor Gathering Space. \nDuring classes and Open Art at Creative Community Space masks are optional. \nWinter 2027  = If there are events causing Art Club to be canceled (snow days/students not at school\, teacher illness\, half-day cancellations etc) There will be one makeup day offered on a Saturday/semester.  \n2026 Semester \nSession 1  January 7\, 14\, 21\, 28 (pay in person 1/21 for session 2) \nSession 2  February 4\, 11\, 18\, March 4 – (pay in person 2/18 for session 3) \nSession 3  March 16\, 23\, 30 – (pay in person 3/19 for session 4)\, April 1 \nSession 4  April 8\, 15\, 22\, May 6 – (pay in person 4/22 for session 5)\, \nSession 5  May 13\, 20\, 27\, June 3rd (pay in person 5/27 ( for session 6 = $21.00) \nSession 6  June 10 – Last Day -End of Year Party! \n
