SUMMARY:Valentine  Clay Creations
DESCRIPTION:This clay workshop will focus on creating valentines to give to friends\, family\, or simply keepsakes for yourself. The projects will explore various clay techniques …use of slabs in conjunction with texture\, molding\, and coil construction. At the end of this workshop\, you will have acquired new skills that you can use in future clay projects. The construction aspect of this project will be for two and a half hours. You will have 3 pounds of clay from which to create\, extra time will be provided if needed. The cost of this workshop is $56.00 To complete this project the second phase would be to glaze your creations at one of the Open Art nights that are offered throughout the month of January or on February 7 (to be ready for Valentines Day).\n\nTaught by teaching artist Wendy Harris. DESCRIPTION:Come and make cards honoring people who have a meaningful place in your life.  These will be made in the SoulCollage style. You can keep them as a remembrance or they can be given as gifts to “honor” the person for whom they are made. Hand-building (no wheel) is a great way to get started.  With the Magic 3 you can build just about anything!  Come learn how to make a basic\, pinched form\, coiled form\, and slab form.  This is a 3 hour workshop for Adults and High School age students.  No experience necessary\, just good humor and the willingness to get your hands dirty!  See registration form\, materials fee\, and cost in “Details” below.
