DESCRIPTION:The holidays are quickly approaching and if you would like to make ceramic gifts you need to do it during the month of November to assure that they are ready for the gift-giving season. We will be offering clay night during each Open Art of November.  Don’t wait till the last minute.  Ceramic ornaments are just one option they make great gifts and are easy to make.  Make this a hand-made holiday! \nDrop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your  studio fee is $12.50\, 1 pound of clay is $3.50 – additional clay can be purchased for $3.50/ pound.  The clay fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later come to a Glaze Night. Your studio fee is $12.50 on this day. Your glaze fee will be $3.50 for each pound of clay used. SUMMARY:Puppet Workshop - It's Alive!
DESCRIPTION:“It’s Alive!” (Stuffed Animal Puppets): (Grades 3 & up\, 2-2.5 Hrs.) \nWhat would happen if Dr. Frankenstein was let loose in a toy shop?  Now I know what you are thinking\, my child will be devastated and traumatized if we cut their favorite stuffed animal apart to create a puppet!  Relax my friends\, I will supply an array of cleaned\, used stuffed animals to dissect.  This class is a great and unique way to teach students about hand puppets.  In this class each student will begin with a stuffed animal\, which we will then proceed to turn into a hand puppet by opening it up\, learning to pattern its mouth\, and constructing & installing a mouth plate.  Miraculously this will animate a formerly inanimate object\, turning it from a mere toy\, into a puppet. Vandy will pick students up at Epping Elementary School and walk them down.  Students from other school districts should arrive by 3:35. \n \nREGISTRATION DEADLINE EXTENDED: Register by 11:59 pm on Wednesday\, November 6th.

DESCRIPTION:Drop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. These sessions are available twice a month for a $12.50 fee each night.  Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided.
