SUMMARY:This Is Puppetry! Camp!
DESCRIPTION:This Is Puppetry \nEver wonder how those puppets you see on television and in movies are made? In this class\, I teach you the secrets to building your own foam-patterned hand and rod puppet and all the materials\, elements\, and skills that make them look so real and lifelike.  We will also learn the fundamentals of creating a character through the use of color\, texture\, different materials\, and movement\, as well as how to manipulate your puppet to bring your character to life.  These puppets are sewn and covered in fleece using the “Henson” or “Ladder” stitch.  No previous puppetry skills are needed\, (basic hand-sewing skills are helpful – see video links below)  just your imagination and creativity are required. \nLadder Stitch Tutorial\nhttps://youtu.be/c2B_fgEGMlM?si=L-kTe1mzE78fN66G\n\nAdam Kreutinger-Puppet Stitches\n\nhttps://youtu.be/TvmYl2GGbKI?si=acM6RIpFT2KVGXqb\n\n\n\nThis is a 5 day camp from 9-3:30. SUMMARY:Deluxe Sock Puppets!!!
DESCRIPTION:Deluxe Sock Puppets!\nThis is not your average run-of-the-mill Sock Puppet class. This class teaches the basics of\ncreating a puppet character\, and all the elements needed to do so. Then students will learn to\nbuild a mouth plate and by using this plate as well as a foam “skull” for a round head shape\,\nthey will give their puppets a much greater range of motion and movement than an average\nsock puppet. Students will then proceed to create their characters and build their puppets! \nThis is an “After School” Workshop for grades 3-7. \n“Transportation” Vandy Leigh will pick students up after school at Epping Elementary school and walk them down to the art center.  Middle School students are asked to walk down to Creative Community Space on their own.  All youth not attending Epping schools should arrive at Creative Community Space no later than 3:30. \nMaterials = $ 15.00\nInstruction= $ 35.00\nTotal= $ 50.00 \nRegistration: There is a limit on class size – Register today!!!  We need 5 students to run this great workshop\, please tell your children’s friends about this opportunity! \nRegistration Deadline:  DEADLINE  EXTENDED to May 1st.  Cancelations on or before April 19th receive full refund. DESCRIPTION:             \n  \nMiddle School Art Club is a social and creative gathering to explore art materials and techniques sessions will be planned with club members’ input.  We will learn about the power of art and the ways we can use art to make a difference in the world. \nArt Club for grades 6-8 or age equivalent\, will meet Thursdays from 2:30 – 4:00.  Registration is for a month of classes – be sure to check the calendar to know when we are meeting.  You must renew your registration monthly by emailing Vandy at CreativeCommunitySpace@gmail.com or speaking to her directly  on or before the third day of the current session.  Cost is $96.00/4-week session\, materials fee may be required depending on projects chosen by the group. \nEpping Middle School Students can walk on the public sidewalks down to the Arts Center\, Creative Community Space.  Students should bring a snack to eat before we begin Art Club activities. \nHomeschooled students or students coming from other school districts should arrive at Creative Community Space by 2:40 (and eat a snack before they come) \nYou will find the registration form at the link below.  Upon receiving your registration & payment we will email you a “Walkers’ Release” that will allow your child to walk from school. \n*Please note   We generally follow the SAU 14 school calendar for days off/snow days. \nRegistration Deadline: ADVANCED REGISTRATION FOR THE FALL IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED.   Please invite your child/youth’s friend to join Art Club. \nCancelation Policy:  Advanced registration can be refunded in full by August 31st for the 1st Art Club session of the year.  Credit is given for a future activity or art club if cancelation is on or after Aug. 31. No refunds after the 4-week session has begun.   \nRegistration deadlines for each session follow the above protocol.  The deadline is 2 weeks before a session begins.  Always feel free to email us and ask if there is space if the deadline has passed. \nMeeting space:  We will be meeting in the Art Barn with the door open for fresh air flow until the weather becomes prohibitive\, students should dress appropriately.  After October\, Art Club will meet in the indoor Gathering Space. \nDuring classes and Open Art at Creative Community Space masks are optional. \nFALL 2023 MEETING DATES   *these will shift if there are snow days or other cancelations. \n\nSeptember: 14\, 21\, 28\, October 5\nOctober: 12\, 19\, 26\, November 2\nNovember 9\, 16\, (no school 23) 30 December 7\nDecember 14\, 21\, January 4 & 11\, 2024                                                                                                                                                          2024 dates will appear in late November 2023

DESCRIPTION:             \n  \nMiddle School Art Club is a social and creative gathering to explore art materials and techniques sessions will be planned with club members’ input.  We will learn about the power of art and the ways we can use art to make a difference in the world. \nArt Club for grades 6-8 or age equivalent\, will meet Thursdays from 2:30 – 4:00.  Registration is for a month of classes – be sure to check the calendar to know when we are meeting.  You must renew your registration monthly by emailing Vandy at CreativeCommunitySpace@gmail.com or speaking to her directly  on or before the third day of the current session.  Cost is $96.00/4-week session\, materials fee may be required depending on projects chosen by the group. \nEpping Middle School Students can walk on the public sidewalks down to the Arts Center\, Creative Community Space.  Students should bring a snack to eat before we begin Art Club activities. \nHomeschooled students or students coming from other school districts should arrive at Creative Community Space by 2:40 (and eat a snack before they come) \nYou will find the registration form at the link below.  Upon receiving your registration & payment we will email you a “Walkers’ Release” that will allow your child to walk from school. \n*Please note   We generally follow the SAU 14 school calendar for days off/snow days. \nRegistration Deadline: ADVANCED REGISTRATION FOR THE FALL IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED.   Please invite your child/youth’s friend to join Art Club. \nCancelation Policy:  Advanced registration can be refunded in full by August 31st for the 1st Art Club session of the year.  Credit is given for a future activity or art club if cancelation is on or after Aug. 31. No refunds after the 4-week session has begun.   \nRegistration deadlines for each session follow the above protocol.  The deadline is 2 weeks before a session begins.  Always feel free to email us and ask if there is space if the deadline has passed. \nMeeting space:  We will be meeting in the Art Barn with the door open for fresh air flow until the weather becomes prohibitive\, students should dress appropriately.  After October\, Art Club will meet in the indoor Gathering Space. \nDuring classes and Open Art at Creative Community Space masks are optional. \nFALL 2023 MEETING DATES   *these will shift if there are snow days or other cancelations. \n\nSeptember: 14\, 21\, 28\, October 5\nOctober: 12\, 19\, 26\, November 2\nNovember 9\, 16\, (no school 23) 30 December 7\nDecember 14\, 21\, January 4 & 11\, 2024                                                                                                                                                          2024 dates will appear in late November 2023

DESCRIPTION:The holidays are quickly approaching and if you would like to make ceramic gifts you need to do it during the month of November to assure that they are ready for the gift-giving season. We will be offering clay night during each Open Art of November.  Don’t wait till the last minute.  Ceramic ornaments are just one option they make great gifts and are easy to make.  Make this a hand-made holiday! \nDrop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your fee includes 1 pound of clay – additional clay can be purchased for $3.00/ pound.  The fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later come to a Glaze Night. Your fee on this day will include glaze and glaze firing in the kiln to create your functional ceramic piece.  Seating is limited so don’t wait till the last minute.  First come/first serve for spaces.  Cash is preferred but cards are accepted.   You can come and glaze your clay items on 11/21 and 11/28 during Santa’s Workshop Clay. \nThis is an All Ages Event \nAs winter illnesses develop Masks are optional\, this is a no-judgment zone! \n*Our Open Art studio fee increased to $12.00 as of October 1st.
