DESCRIPTION:Deluxe Sock Puppets!\nThis is not your average run-of-the-mill Sock Puppet class. This class teaches the basics of\ncreating a puppet character and all the elements needed to do so.  Students will learn to\nbuild a mouth plate and to use this plate as a foam “skull” for a round head shape\,\nthey will give their puppets a much greater range of motion and movement than an average\nsock puppet. Students will then proceed to create their characters and build their puppets! \nEpping Elementary School Students will be picked up at school and walked down to the Art Center. \nStudents from all school districts and homeschool students are welcome. \nThis is a youth workshop in the afternoon for grades 3-7 \nMaterials = $ 20.00\nInstruction= $ 40.00\nTotal= $ 60.00 \nRegistration: There is a limit on class size – Register today!!!  We need 5 students to run this great workshop\, please tell your children’s friends and family members about this opportunity! \n*Eric Weiss is a guest artist\, learn more about him in his bio on this website “Membership” “Meet the teaching members.”

DESCRIPTION:Come to All Day Art & Play to experience a full week of Creativity! \nWe will learn a different art medium and technique each morning and then explore individually what we can do with it. Mediums we may play with include\, drawing\, clay\, printmaking\, and sculpture to name just a few.  After lunch we will have “Play time” includes games\, board and physical\, book time – learning about artists and ways to make art\, and creating in our sketchbooks.  We will go to the playground and make outdoor art when the weather permits.  The arts can also include movement and rhythm\, writing\, and storytelling.  All of these are fair game at All Day Art & Play! \nThe minimum number of campers is 5. \nThe maximum number of campers is 10. \nRegistration deadline is July 28th. \nRefund policy: Full payment refund before July 28th.  Credit for another camp or program if canceling on or after July 28th. \nNo refunds after camp has begun. \n*This camp is for children who will be in 4th – 6th grade in the Fall of 2025 \n

DESCRIPTION:This Is Puppetry  \nEver wonder how those puppets you see on television and in movies are made? In this class I teach you the secrets to building your very own foam patterned hand and rod puppet and all the materials\, elements\, and skills that go into making them look so real and lifelike.  We will also learn fundamentals to creating a character through the use of color\, texture\, different materials\, and movement\, as well as how to manipulate your puppet to bring your character to life.  These puppets are sewn and covered in fleece using the “Henson” or “Ladder” stitch.  No previous puppetry skills needed\, (basic hand sewing skills are helpful)  just your imagination and creativity are required. \n*Eric Weiss\, of HomeSlice Pupperty\, is a CCS guest artist\,  is a talented puppet maker that shares his skills with Creative Community Space young artists a couple of times a year. DESCRIPTION:Lana’s Tie Dye Workshop Grades 3 and up!\n*Students registered for Draw & Paint will be supervised\, at no charge\, between this camp and the Tie Dye Workshop. \n   \nJuly 7th @ 1:00pm – 3:00pm \n  \n$50.00 per student-This includes material cost of professional grade materials\, and one on one instructions! \n  \nFees include 2 T-shirts (sizes to be chosen on registration form) and one bandana to dye up. \n  \n-This is a workshop for children/ youth grades 3 and up or age equivalent \n  \n-THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT – rain date is the next day\,  July 8th\, 1pm-3pm \, please keep both dates open \n  \n-In the unlikely event that both dates get rained out\, the class will be rescheduled to a date TBD \n  \nCome spend an afternoon creating your own tie dye!  Each person will be given two shirts and one bandanna to dye up in any colors and patterns they would like! Lana will provide instruction on specific designs and patterns\, or you are welcome to freestyle and create whatever comes to you.
