DESCRIPTION:Come explore textile art!  We will weave\, sew\, collage and play with fabric and yarn! You will learn to hand-sew a little “sea cucumber” and then expand the design with your own embellishments. You will learn how to make a recycled loom so you can weave anywhere! We will also explore what other things we can do with textiles! \n*Families may choose whether their child going into 3rd grade or going into 7th grade\, attends this camp. \nJuly 6-10  10:30 – 12:00 \n5 mornings  = 142.00 + $25.00 materials fee = $167.00 \nRegistration Deadline: Deadline is June 22nd.    Please invite your child/youth’s friends to come to Art Camps! Glaze is then $5.00/ pound of clay used. This includes your second firing to make your creation a functional ceramic piece. \nThis is an All Ages event. SUMMARY:This is Puppetry! CAMP!
DESCRIPTION:This Is Puppetry  \nEver wonder how those puppets you see on television and in movies are made? In this class I teach you the secrets to building your very own foam patterned hand and rod puppet and all the materials\, elements\, and skills that go into making them look so real and lifelike.  We will also learn fundamentals to creating a character through the use of color\, texture\, different materials\, and movement\, as well as how to manipulate your puppet to bring your character to life.  These puppets are sewn and covered in fleece using the “Henson” or “Ladder” stitch.  No previous puppetry skills needed\, (basic hand sewing skills are helpful)  just your imagination and creativity are required. \n*Eric Weiss\, of HomeSlice Pupperty\, is a CCS guest artist\,  is a talented puppet maker that shares his skills with Creative Community Space young artists a couple of times a year.
