SUMMARY:This is Puppetry Camp!
DESCRIPTION:This Is Puppetry  \nEver wonder how those puppets you see on television and in movies are made? In this class I teach you the secrets to building your very own foam patterned hand and rod puppet and all the materials\, elements\, and skills that go into making them look so real and lifelike.  We will also learn fundamentals to creating a character through the use of color\, texture\, different materials\, and movement\, as well as how to manipulate your puppet to bring your character to life.  These puppets are sewn and covered in fleece using the “Henson” or “Ladder” stitch.  No previous puppetry skills needed\, (basic hand sewing skills are helpful)  just your imagination and creativity are required. \n*Eric Weiss\, of HomeSlice Pupperty\, is a CCS guest artist\,  is a talented puppet maker that shares his skills with Creative Community Space young artists a couple of times a year. DESCRIPTION:Lana’s Tie Dye Workshop Grades 3 and up!\n*Students registered for Draw & Paint will be supervised\, at no charge\, between this camp and the Tie Dye Workshop. \n   \nJuly 7th @ 1:00pm – 3:00pm \n  \n$50.00 per student-This includes material cost of professional grade materials\, and one on one instructions! \n  \nFees include 2 T-shirts (sizes to be chosen on registration form) and one bandana to dye up. \n  \n-This is a workshop for children/ youth grades 3 and up or age equivalent \n  \n-THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT – rain date is the next day\,  July 8th\, 1pm-3pm \, please keep both dates open \n  \n-In the unlikely event that both dates get rained out\, the class will be rescheduled to a date TBD \n  \nCome spend an afternoon creating your own tie dye!  Each person will be given two shirts and one bandanna to dye up in any colors and patterns they would like! Lana will provide instruction on specific designs and patterns\, or you are welcome to freestyle and create whatever comes to you. DESCRIPTION:Come play with clay!  We will make clay animals. Learn how to use clay tools and the techniques to make small clay sculptures.  When you finish your 2 animals\, you will leave them at the art center so they can dry and then be cooked in the kiln and made into ceramic.  Later\, you can pick up your sculptures and either 1. paint them with acrylics at home – instructions will be included\, or 2. come to Open Art Glaze night with a parent  (studio fees apply) and glaze your ceramic sculptures. DESCRIPTION:Drop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. These sessions are available twice a month for a $12.50 studio  fee each night.  Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your fee is your studio fee\, clay can be purchased for $3.50/ pound.  The clay fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later come to a Glaze Night. You pay a studio fee of $12.50. Your glaze fee is $3.50/pound of clay used. On this day your glaze fee will include glaze and glaze firing in the kiln to create your functional ceramic piece. DESCRIPTION:Come create your way!  Middle School Art Club is a social art group that is full of choice!  Students are shown tools and techniques and given some examples of the ways they are used and can then explore their own creativity.  The group is also shown examples of how art is powerful!  This feeds their creative self-esteem as they create for self-expression. \nPlease reach out if you have questions about this group!  CreativeCommunitySpace@gmail.com \nStudents walk down from the Epping Middle School on their own- to arrive at the Art Center around 2:30.  (Vandy will walk them down the first time – and again if requested) \nStudents from districts other than Epping should be dropped off by 2:40. \nThis is a new group.
