SUMMARY:HomeSchool Plaster Sculpture!
DESCRIPTION:Come and experience 3-dimensional art.  Sculptures can be made of so many things.  We will explore armature-making and plaster gauze wrapping to create animals in the Oaxacan wood-carving style.   We’ll learn about structure\, balance\, and unity while we construct animals from our individual visions. \nThis is a 6-week class. \nThis class meets on Thursdays: Oct. 29\, Nov. 05\, 12\, 19\, Dec. 3\, 10\,  from 11:00 – 12:15 (15 minutes allowed for clean up). If this day or time doesn’t work for you\, please email us to discuss creating another sculpture class or another class specific to your family’s interests. \nGrades 1-8 or age equivalent. \nMinimum – 5 students to run this class. Non-walker information below.   \nParents are asked to come into the Art Center to pick up their child at 4:15.                                                  Our parking lot entrance is on Prospect St. \nStudents who attend Epping Rec can be walked to Rec after Art Club for a $2.00/ week fee. DESCRIPTION:The holidays are quickly approaching\, and if you would like to make ceramic gifts\, you need to do it during the month of November to ensure that they are ready for the gift-giving season. We will be offering clay night during 3 Open Art in November.  Don’t wait till the last minute.  Ceramic ornaments are just one option; they make great gifts and are easy to make.  Make this a hand-made holiday! \nDrop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (Sorry\, no wheels)  Your studio fee is $15.00; 1 pound of clay is $5.50 – additional clay can be purchased for $5.50/ pound.  The clay fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later\, come to a Glaze Night. Your studio fee is $15.00 on this day. Your glaze fee will be $5.50 for each pound of clay used. DESCRIPTION:This Intro to Drawing class will bring students from “seeing” things to learning to “look.” Drawing does not depend on “talent” but on skill.  Students will learn the skills to construct what they see\, then use the techniques of shading and texture to create a finished drawing.  With practice\, students will be able to draw on their own and build their skills until they can capture the essence of their subject. We will be drawing animals from sketch to finished drawing. \nThis class meets on Tuesdays: Nov. 03\, 10\, 17\, 24  Dec. 1\, & 8 from 11:00 – 12:00. If this day or time doesn’t work for you\, please email us to discuss creating another drawing class or another class specific to your family’s interests. \nThis class is for grades 1 – 6 or age equivalent. Market Basket is only a 5-minute drive. DESCRIPTION:This Class is Full \nCome and experience 3-dimensional art.  Sculptures can be made of so many things.  We will explore armature-making and plaster gauze wrapping to create animals in the Oaxacan wood-carving style.   We’ll learn about structure\, balance\, and unity while we construct animals from our individual visions. \nThis is a 6-week class. \nThis class meets on Tuesdays: Sept. 15\, 22\, 29\, Oct. 6\, 13\, 20\, from 11:00 – 12:15 (15 minutes allowed for clean up).
