DESCRIPTION:Drop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. These sessions are available once a month.  Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. SUMMARY:Art and Yoga Fusion: Middle School Edition
DESCRIPTION:Flow and Focus: Yoga\, Mindfulness\, and Vision Boarding for Creative Middle Schoolers \nDescription: Join us for an afternoon of creativity\, mindfulness\, and movement! In this workshop\, middle school students will have the opportunity to explore yoga and mindfulness practices\, as well as learn art skills they can use to feel calm and confident in their daily lives. \nThe event will begin with a one-hour yoga and mindfulness session\, led by Shelby Phoenix a certified instructor who specializes in working with young students. During this time\, students will be guided through a series of gentle movements and breathing exercises designed to help them tune in to their bodies and focus their minds. \nFollowing the yoga and mindfulness session\, we’ll take a 30-minute break to refuel with snacks and refreshments before moving on to our next activity. During this break\, students will have the chance to connect with each other and get to know their classmates. \nNext\, we’ll spend about 15 minutes doing an intention-setting activity\, in which students will be guided through a process of reflecting on their personal goals and aspirations. They’ll learn how to set intentions for themselves\, both for the present moment and for the future. \nFinally\, we’ll spend an hour creating vision boards\, using art supplies provided by the event organizers. Students will have the opportunity to express themselves creatively\, using images and words to bring their goals and intentions to life. \nBy the end of the event\, students will have learned valuable skills in yoga\, mindfulness\, and art\, as well as connected with other like-minded students in their community. This is a great opportunity to explore new hobbies\, build confidence\, and learn tools for self-care that can be used throughout their lives. We’ll draw animals with pencil and colored pencil and then learn some watercolor techniques to paint them. We will have Open Art Clay night next Tuesday\, August 29th from 7 – 9 PM. \nDrop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. These sessions are available once a month.  Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your fee includes 1 pound of clay – additional clay can be purchased for $3.00/ pound.  The fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later come to a Glaze Day. Your fee on this day will include glaze and glaze firing in the kiln to create your functional ceramic piece. DESCRIPTION:This group is open to Home Schooled youth in the middle grades equivalent. \nWe will begin with clay learning hand-building construction techniques to produce sculptural and functional pieces.  While these items dry and are fired in the kiln we will start our painting exploration.We will learn watercolor painting techniques as well as explore acrylic painting. \nWe will end the series with glaze painting our ceramics. \nVandy Leigh will be teaching this series. SUMMARY:3rd\, 4th and 5th Art Club!!!
DESCRIPTION:                      \n\nSeptember 11\, 2023 @ 3:15 pm – 5:00 pm\n$96.00 for 4 weeks   \n\n\n\nCome meet other art enthusiasts!   We will experiment with new skills and materials and make projects that express who we are! \nArt Club for grades 3 -5 or age equivalent\, will meet Mondays from 3:15 – 5:00.  Registration is for 4 weeks of classes – be sure to check the calendar to know when we are meeting. \nYou must renew your registration monthly by emailing Vandy at CreativeCommunitySpace@gmail.com or speaking to her directly on or before the third day of the current session.  Cost is $96.00/4-week session\, materials fee may be required depending on projects chosen by the group. \nEpping students will be picked up at school and walked down to the Arts Center by the Creative Community Space group leader.  Students should bring a snack to eat before we begin Art Club activities. Homeschooled students or students coming from other school districts should arrive at Creative Community Space by 3:40 (and eat a snack before they come) \nYou will find the registration form at the link below.  Upon receiving your registration & payment for an Epping Elementary Student we will email you a “Walkers’ Release”  before your first session that will allow us to pick your child up at school. \n*Please note   We generally follow the SAU 14 school calendar for days off/snow days. \nRegistration Deadline: ADVANCED REGISTRATION FOR THE FALL IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED.   Please invite your child/youth’s friend to join Art Club. \nCancelation Policy:  Advanced registration can be refunded in full by August 28th for the 1st Art Club session of the year.  Credit is given for a future activity or art club if cancelation is on or after Aug. 28th. No refunds after the 4-week session has begun.   \nRegistration deadlines for each session follow the above protocol.  The deadline is 2 weeks before a session begins.  Always feel free to email us and ask if there is space if the deadline has passed. \nMeeting space:  We will be meeting in the Art Barn with the door open for fresh air flow until weather becomes prohibitive\, students should dress appropriately.  After October\, Art Club will meet in the indoor Gathering Space. \nDuring classes and Open Art at Creative Community Space masks are optional. \nFALL 2023 MEETING DATES   *these will shift if there are snow days or other cancelations. \n\nSeptember: 11\, 18\, 25\, October 2   THIS SESSION IS FULL\nOctober (9 no school)\, 16\, 23\, 30 November 6\nNovember 13\, 20\, 27\, December\, 4\nDecember 11\, 18\, (no school 25th & January 1) January 8 (no school 15) & 22nd\n\n2024 dates will appear in late November 2023. \n \n  \n

SUMMARY:Open Art!!!  Clay Night!!!
DESCRIPTION:Drop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. These sessions are available once a month.  Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your fee includes 1 pound of clay – additional clay can be purchased for $3.00/ pound.  The fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later come to a Glaze Day. Your fee on this day will include glaze and glaze firing in the kiln to create your functional ceramic piece. This is droop in first\, come/first serve for spaces.  Cash is preferred but cards are accepted. \nThis is an All Ages Event \n*Open Art is Free to Members of Creative Community Space\, they only pay the $3.00 materials fee on clay and glaze nights- see our website for membership details.
