DESCRIPTION:This Session is Full\nCome meet other art enthusiasts!   We will experiment with new skills and materials and make projects that express who we sare! \nArt Club for grades 3 -5 or age equivalent\, will meet Mondays from 3:15 – 5:00.  Registration is for 4 weeks of classes which is a “session.”  NEW * NEW * NEW  You may also sign up for a “half-year” and receive a discount. \nIf you are registering for one session at a time you must renew your registration monthly by emailing Vandy at CreativeCommunitySpace@gmail.com or speaking to her directly on or before the third day of the current session so your child’s spot isn’t filled by someone else. \nEpping students will be picked up at school and walked down to the Arts Center by the Creative Community Space group leader.  Students should bring a snack to eat before we begin Art Club activities. Homeschooled students or students coming from other school districts should arrive at Creative Community Space by 3:40 (and eat a snack before they come) \nYou will find the registration form at the link below.  Upon receiving your registration & payment for an Epping Elementary Student we will email you a “Walkers’ Release”  before your first session that will allow us to pick your child up at school. \n*Please note   We generally follow the SAU 14 school calendar for days off/snow days. \nRegistration Deadline: ADVANCED REGISTRATION FOR SEMESER TWO IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED.   Please invite your child/youth’s friend to join Art Club. \nCancelation Policy:  Advanced registration can be refunded in full by January 21 for the 2nd Art Club semester.  Credit is given for a future activity or art club if cancelation is on or after Jan 21\, 2025.  \nNo refunds after the 4-week session has begun.   \nIf a refund is requested for a half-year registration the refund will be pro-rated as if you had registered session to session up until the refund date. \nRegistration deadlines for each session follow the above protocol.  The deadline is 2 weeks before a session begins.  Always feel free to email us and ask if there is space if the deadline has passed. \nMeeting space:  We will be meeting in the indoor Gathering Space. SUMMARY:Open Art - Clay Night!!!
DESCRIPTION:Drop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. These sessions are available twice a month for a $12.50 studio  fee each night.  Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your fee is your studio fee\, clay can be purchased for $3.50/ pound.  The clay fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later come to a Glaze Night. You pay a studio fee of $12.50. Your glaze fee is $3.50/pound of clay used. On this day your glaze fee will include glaze and glaze firing in the kiln to create your functional ceramic piece. DESCRIPTION:This Is Puppetry  \nEver wonder how those puppets you see on television and in movies are made? In this class I teach you the secrets to building your very own foam patterned hand and rod puppet and all the materials\, elements\, and skills that go into making them look so real and lifelike.  We will also learn fundamentals to creating a character through the use of color\, texture\, different materials\, and movement\, as well as how to manipulate your puppet to bring your character to life.  These puppets are sewn and covered in fleece using the “Henson” or “Ladder” stitch.  No previous puppetry skills needed\, (basic hand sewing skills are helpful)  just your imagination and creativity are required. \n*Eric Weiss\, of HomeSlice Pupperty\, is a CCS guest artist\,  is a talented puppet maker that shares his skills with Creative Community Space young artists a couple of times a year. SUMMARY:Giant Parade Puppets Camp!
DESCRIPTION:Puppets have a way of capturing the imagination. When you see them in a parade they are often BIG. From a Dragon puppet used to celebrate the Chinese New Year to the upside-down Marionettes of the great Tony Sarg’s creations in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade\, parade puppets are a main attraction and are what everyone talks about after the parade ends. \nIn this class we are going to sculpt a large puppet head and then mount the head onto a wooden frame which we will load into a backpack. We will build some hands on rods and connect them together with fabric arms.  Wha-lah these marching giants are sure to entertain their makers and fascinate and delight their audience! \nPlease note. These puppets are easy to disassemble.  The heads can become a sculptural decoration when not in use and the arms can be stored in a closet or under a bed. \n                   These are great Halloween Costumes!   \n*This Camp is for children going into 3rd\, 4th\, 5th\, 6th or 7th grade in the fall of 2025. \n*This is a 5 day camp from 9-3:30. SUMMARY:Open Art - Glaze Night!!!
DESCRIPTION:Did you make ceramics at a Creative Community Space class or event?  Come on this evening to paint on your glaze so we can fire it again and make it a functional ceramic piece for you.  You pay a $12.50 studio fee. Glaze is then $3.50/ pound of clay used. This includes your second firing to make your creation a functional ceramic piece. \nThis is an All Ages event. Drop in no registration needed. \n*Open Art is Free to Members of Creative Community Space\, they only pay the $3.50 materials fee on clay and glaze nights- see our website for membership details. \nFirst come/first serve for spaces.  Cash is preferred but cards are accepted. \nMasks are optional\, this is a no-judgment zone!!!

SUMMARY:All Day Art & Play! Grades 1-3!
DESCRIPTION:Come to All Day Art & Play to experience a full week of Creativity! \nWe will learn a different art medium and technique each morning and then explore individually what we can do with it. Mediums we may play with include\, drawing\, clay\, printmaking\, and sculpture to name just a few.  After lunch we will have “Play time” includes games\, board and physical\, book time – learning about artists and ways to make art\, and creating in our sketchbooks.  We will go to the playground and make outdoor art when the weather permits.  The arts can also include movement and rhythm\, writing\, and storytelling.  All of these are fair game at All Day Art & Play! \nThe minimum number of campers is 5. \nThe maximum number of campers is 10. \nRegistration deadline is July 21st. \nRefund policy: Full payment refund before July 21st.  Credit for another camp or program if canceling on or after July 21st. \nNo refunds after camp has begun. \n*This camp is for children who will be in 1st – 3rd grade in the Fall of 2025 \n
