DESCRIPTION:Come make some 3D sculpture! Many people think about Art in terms of drawing and painting\, but Art that is 3 dimensional is a lot of fun to make.  We will begin with basic Origami shapes to learn about symmetry\, unity\, and balance. In week 2\, we will make an assemblage using found items. In week 3\, we will make abstract foam sculptures. In weeks 4 & 5\, we will create freeform sculpture with items of choice added to a base\, and finish any outstanding projects. \n  \nWe are an EFA Vendor and take ClassWallet \nPlease email to express interest before registering if you are an EFA family. \nThis 5-week class will run for 1 hour each week from 11-12:00 \nDates: January 20 & 27\, February 3\, 10 & 17. \nGrades 2 – up or age equivalent. SUMMARY:Open Art - Clay Night!!!
DESCRIPTION:Drop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. These sessions are available twice a month for a $14.00 studio  fee each night.  Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your fee is your studio fee\, clay can be purchased for $5.00/ pound.  The clay fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later come to a Glaze Night. You pay a studio fee of $14.00. Your glaze fee is $5.00/pound of clay used. On this day your glaze fee will include glaze and glaze firing in the kiln to create your functional ceramic piece. DESCRIPTION:If you have an item that needs to be glazed before the holidays – DON’T WAIT! Weather and illness can close the Art Center – get your item glazed as soon as possible! \nDid you make ceramics at a Creative Community Space class or event?  Come on this evening to paint on your glaze so we can fire it again and make it a functional ceramic piece for you.  You pay a $14.00 studio fee. Glaze is then $5.00/ pound of clay used. This includes your second firing to make your creation a functional ceramic piece. \nThis is an All Ages event. DESCRIPTION:The holidays are quickly approaching and if you would like to make ceramic gifts you need to do it during the month of November to assure that they are ready for the gift-giving season. We will be offering clay night during each Open Art of November.  Don’t wait till the last minute.  Ceramic ornaments are just one option they make great gifts and are easy to make.  Make this a hand-made holiday! \nDrop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. (sorry no wheels)  Your studio fee is $14.00\, 1 pound of clay is $5.00 – additional clay can be purchased for $5.00/ pound.  The clay fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later\, come to a Glaze Night. Your studio fee is $14.00 on this day. Your glaze fee will be $5.00 for each pound of clay used. Your piece will be glaze fired in the kiln to create your functional ceramic piece.  Seating is limited so don’t wait till the last minute.  First come/first serve for spaces.  Cash is preferred but cards are accepted.   You can come and glaze your clay items on 12/09 & 12/16.
