Ceramic Whistle Workshop

Whistle Workshop – Saturday, Nov 12, 2022 10am to 12 noon

In this 2 hour workshop, you will create a basic whistle (extra time will be given if needed) with the glazing of your whistle being done at the Open art Night offered on a Tuesday 7 pm to 9 pm later in the month, allowing ample time to be given as a gift for the holiday’s if you wish.
You will be learning the following skills; pinching, coiling, scoring and construction of a hollow sphere and flue extension. You will use these techniques to create a whistle/form that can be any creature you desire. Bringing a picture for inspiration is encouraged but keep your idea basic. Tools, 2 pounds of clay and other materials will be supplied.  Age – High School and up. The cost will be  $48.00 which includes your clay and 1st firing.  The cost on Tuesday  Open Art Night for glazing will be $12.00. Class offered by Wendy Harris

During classes and Open Art at Creative Community Space masks are highly recommended. Vaccination for Covid is highly recommended.
