The last class filled so please register early.

Come learn about clay! Where it comes from, how it is used, and how it can be made into thousands of items.  Over these 6 weeks, we will focus on learning skills and tool use to create lasting clay pieces. These items will be fired in a kiln, and then students will paint or glaze them.  If they are glazed, they will be fired in the kiln again to make a functional ceramic piece.  Projects will vary from specific skill-building to free-choice with skill demonstration.

*This is an introduction to Hand-Building with clay.

This class is for students in 1st grade through 8th grade or age equivalent.

Clay is a medium that is easy to differentiate for different age/grade levels.

This class will run 6 weeks.  Thursdays from 11 – 12:15,  April 16th, 23, May 7, 14, 21, 28.

We need a minimum of 5 students to run this class – Maximum of 10.
