Come learn about clay! Where it comes from, how it is used, and how it can be made into thousands of items.  Over these 5 weeks, we will focus on learning skills and tool use to create lasting clay pieces. These items will be fired in a kiln, and then students will paint or glaze them.  If they are glazed, they will be fired in the kiln again to make a functional ceramic piece.  Projects will vary from specific skill-building to free-choice with skill demonstration.

This class is for students in 1st grade through 8th grade or age equivalent.

Clay is a medium that is easy to differentiate for different grade levels.

This class will run 5 weeks.  Tuesdays from 11 – 12:15,  March 24, 31, April 7, 14 and 21.

We need a minimum of 5 students to run this class – Maximum of 10.
