EPPING – A landmark house at 218 Main St. in Epping is getting a makeover as it is renovated to be the future home of the Creative Community Space Arts Center, founded by artist and teacher Vandy Leigh.

The home has had its turret roof replaced. Affectionately called “The Castle,” the Queen Anne Victorian style home built in the late 1880s has a very pointy roof which required the use of a lift and careful precision cutting of the shingles.

Exeter Roofing’s Fred Goulet, who grew up in Epping, headed up the project. Local metal artist Gary Hume created the weathervane inspired banner that now sits atop the turret’s apex.

Creative Community Space’s building is undergoing many changes. Follow the transformation on Instagram at CCSEpping or on Facebook as Creative Community Space.
